Payment partners (including PhonePe and CCAvenue) may set session cookies or similar identifiers when you complete a checkout. These are used for fraud prevention, transaction routing, and payment completion. We do not use cookies to store full payment card numbers or UPI credentials.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to understand how visitors use the site. • Analytics and performance: Help us understand how visitors use the Platform (e.g., pages viewed, session duration, crash reports). We may use Google Analytics, Google Firebase Analytics, or similar; data may be anonymized or aggregated. In the EEA/UK we seek consent for non-essential analytics where required.
• Marketing (if applicable): Used to deliver relevant ads or to measure ad effectiveness. We will only use marketing cookies with your consent where required by law.

We may use the following (list is indicative; we will keep our cookie list updated on the Platform or in this policy):

• Session / authentication cookies: To keep you logged in and secure your session. Typically session-based (deleted when you close the browser).

• Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics: To analyze traffic and usage on web and mobile. May involve cookies or SDK identifiers such as _ga, _gid, or Firebase instance IDs. We may use IP anonymization and configure data retention in line with GDPR.
• Payment partner cookies and SDKs: When you purchase KL Credits, our payment partners (PhonePe, CCAvenue, PayPal, Google Play, Apple App Store, and others) may set cookies or similar identifiers necessary for fraud prevention, session management, and payment processing. Payments may be processed securely through authorized third-party payment gateways and partners including CCAvenue, PhonePe (UPI and other supported modes), PayPal, Google Play, Apple App Store, and other authorized payment partners. KnowingLives does not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or complete UPI credentials on its servers. Payment data is handled by the relevant payment processor in accordance with applicable security standards.

5. Legal Basis (EEA / UK)

In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we rely on: (a) legitimate interests for strictly necessary and certain functional/analytics cookies where they are essential for the service or our legitimate interests (e.g., security, basic analytics) and do not override your rights; (b) consent for non-essential cookies (e.g., optional analytics, marketing) where required by the ePrivacy Directive and national law. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your cookie settings or clearing cookies.
